Maintenance Technician, Scatter Site Residential Rentals

Skylake Properties is looking for a Maintenance Tech to handle a portfolio of 150+ residential units under management in Baltimore County and Harford County.

There's an unique opportunity to build Project Management skills through leading renovations and company projects. Ideal scenario is the candidate runs maintenance and small renovation projects with our network of sub-contractors.

Additional responsibilities and expanded scope of work is possible with promotion toward either Maintenance Lead track or Project Manager track after proven capabilities with experience.

Collaborate with other team members (mostly remote) to complete projects on time and within budget.

Requirements:
- Capable in Basics of Residential Tasks such as Paint, Drywall, Electrical, Plumbing, and HVAC issues resolution; run checklists and know when it's time to send to a specialist.
- Ability to work independently with great work ethics.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, we use the application: Slack to communicate with our remote Property Management team.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing workload and scheduling requirements.
- Must have own vehicle (mileage reimbursement available), and basic equipment to perform the service/repairs. Certifications a plus.

Initially the position is classified as a contracting role with corresponding flexibility options. Past the probation period (2-4 months), a re-classification of the role will be reviewed in detail.
